Diagram below shows the set up of apparatus of a chemical cell.




(a) State the direction of the flow of electrons in the above diagram.

(b) (i) What is the function of the salt bridge?
     (ii) Suggest a suitable chemical to be used as salt bridge.

(c) State the energy change in the cell above.

(d) (i) State the negative terminal
     (ii) Explain your answer in (d)(i)


(e) (i) State one observation at the electrode copper.
     (ii) Write the half equation for the reaction in (e)(i).

(f) (i) Voltage value of the cell is 2.7 V. If the magnesium is replaced by zinc, predict the voltage value
produced.
    (ii) Explain your answer.
